Player Monsters

The Monster Evolution Server enables you to play as Player Monster under certain conditions. Via the Home/Pos1 key on your keyboard you are able to access the Monster menu. Once you have died, you can revive as a Player Monster which has a value equal or less then your current Score.

Here some examples:

Spawning as a Krall requires no score at all

Spawning as a Brute requires 50 score.

Spawning as a Skaarj Sniper requires 320 score.

Spawning as an Advanced Rocket Waillord requires 1000 score.

Spawning as a Seeker requires 3000 score.

If there are two or more regular Players alive and you were able to kill one of them with your Player monster, you will revive at the latest spawn. Should only one Player be alive, the game will be lost.

Killing a player with 0 Score won't revive you which is why you should keep your hands off them until they have a score.

Since it is easy to abuse Player Monsters to help your Party but not kill enemies, Player Monsters are not allowed to block monsters, block shots from monsters, or block Monsters from doing objectives. Such behavior will lead to a ban from the server.

Killing Players who just went afk for a minute, spawnkilling and spaming tight bits of the map with shots, so the party can't advance are considered as unfair behavior which will NOT lead to any bans, but the people on the server won't like you for it. (Enough kickvotes are also enough to get you off the server for the rest of the map)

Friendly Player Monsters

Also known as FPM ingame. Under certain conditions you have the option to spawn as a Friendly Player Monster on the side of the attackers. You can hurt and kill enemy monsters and will you will be rewarded experience points for the damage you deal.

To be able to spawn as a FPM, you need need a so called "Reclamation Coin".

There are two ways to obtain such a coin:

  • get killed by a hostile Player Monster
  • kill someone who has a higher level then you by using a Player Monster

Medic weapons don't work on FPMs but they are able to pick up Advanced Medkits.

Monster Tokens

If you have died very early in the map and therefore only can access weak Player Monsters, there is still a way to improve your situation by collecting Monster Tokens. Monster Tokens don't give you experience but they count as score for the monster roster. If you have 40 score and 10 Tokens you can still spawn a Brute.

There are two ways to achieve Monster Tokens:

  • Get killed as a Player Monster (10 per kill but only till you hit the average player score)
  • Kill Monsters in Iso Combat (Some maps have Iso Combat. Spawn as a Monster near the two Kralls and get 1 Token for each monster you kill)

Dedicated Monsters (currently disabled till some mayor changes are implemented)

If the Admin DW>Ant is online (on any of his many ants) people on the server are given the opportunity to become dedicated monsters. Dedicated monsters are able to take over any Monster which currently is alive on the Map. That can go from simple Kralls to Skaarj-Queens or any other type of Monster. There are certain types of monsters that can't be taken over, like some of the big Dinos or the Tentacles. Dedicated Players should also not spam tight hallways or take over a Bossmonster. Since there is no real prevention against abuse yet dedicated monsters are only allowed under view of the Admin yet.

Dedicated Monster Players can also take over any summoned Monster (not Spirits) from the Party. If they decide to do that, they will play alongside the other players as the actual pet of the Support or Necromancer and gain exp points for them.

A Dedicated Monster Player don't gain any exp points themselves.

Only 25% of the people on the server can become dedicated at the same time.

0-3 players on the server -> no dedicated

4-7 players on the server -> one dedicated

8-11 players on the server -> two dedicated

12+ players on the server -> three dedicated
