General Informations (such as threat and ranks)

Threat:

What is threat?

Your threat-level describes, how much of a threat you oppose to the hostile monster army.

What is my threat-level good for?

Your threat-level serves as experience multiplier. If your threat-level is for example 2, you gain twice the amount of experience from shooting monsters.

How do I get my threat-level up?

Threat is very different for each class. Since a Berserker does more damage then a Paladin he would gain more experience just from shooting. To balance that each class starts with different threat values.

You can raise your threat by using certain abilities. The Support gets threat if people take his ammo packs, the Paladin gets threat when people take his medkits and the Berserker gets threat when he rolls a weapon. There are more abilities then the three mentioned, so look through the ME Abilities Overview. Each ability that gives threat somehow is marked with a short "Threat Ability" section. For an example have a look at the Ammo Dump ability.

How much threat does an ability give?

Since threat is being updated a lot to keep the experience for each class in balance, the actual value will not be posted here. Just notice which abilities give threat and which do not. There is also a maximum to your threat-level so don't spend too much time trying to get it up.

Rank:

What is rank?

If you are new to the Monster Evolution Server, you might hear people talk about ranks, or that certain abilities need higher ranks before you can purchase them.

To put it simple, the rank is similar to your level. There are four ranks. You start at rank 1 and once you hit lvl 50 you are able to purchase rank 2 by buying one level of the Promote Ranking ability. This will increase the maximum health, ammo, adrenaline and resistances you can buy (Stats Overview), increase your weapon masteries and give you access to new abilities.

What ranks are there?

Rank 1: lvl 1 - lvl 49 -> Weak and dies pretty easy, no matter what class you are

Rank 2: lvl 50 - lvl 99 -> The standard player. Can look after itself but still needs support to be of use

Rank 3: lvl 100 - lvl 149 -> The goal of every player. You gain access to the mayor abilities of each class and can pretty much play on your own if needed

Rank 4: lvl 150 - lvl 200 -> Veterans. Just assume they know everything better then you.
