The Peppermint Candy, like the Candy Lollipop, act as a catalysis on the Candy Cane. Indeed, taking more candy will actually increase the time duration of the Candy Cane enhancement.

Note:

Beware that their is also a chance that the Candy Cane effect may be cancel when you harvest to much Peppermint Candy (you will ear a "blurp" sound if this happens).
