The Shock Rifle sports two firing modes capable of acting in concert to neutralize opponents in a devastating shockwave. This combination attack is achieved when the weapon operator utilizes the secondary fire mode to deliver a charge of seeded plasma to the target. Once the slow-moving plasma charge is within range of the target, the weapon operator may fire the photon beam into the plasma core, releasing the explosive energy of the anti-photons contained within the plasma’s EM field.

The primary fire shoots a laser-like beam that deals a average amount of damage and is really efficient at long distance target, as the beam takes practically no time to reach the intended target. The beam is capable of pushing away opponents, or having some 'knockback' power to it.
The secondary fire shoots a core of plasma that deals a small amount of damage. Shooting a plasma core with the primary fire (the beam) will trigger a big explosion called a "shock combo" that can deal a huge amount of damage. The shock core also has a huge knockback power, which is useful for pushing opponents and vehicles back.

Tips
Shock combos are easy to do. Just shoot the orb with secondary fire and then hit the orb with primary fire. In Monster Mash you can get the Monster Whore reward (Similair to the Combo Whore) which will grant you 40 Experience Points. See the General Guide: Special Reward section for more detail.
